Tooth Removal

If you need a tooth removed (extraction), due to a fractured, infected, mobile or unsightly tooth, it is best to see your dentist as soon as possible who will be able to attend to your needs quickly and professionally.

Sometimes tooth removal is the only solution when the damage to the tooth is extensive,  supporting bone has disappeared or severe infection is present. Should this be the case, to get you out of pain, the removal of the tooth can most often be arranged at the time of your initial appointment.

We undertake extractions on adult and baby (deciduous) teeth as well as impacted wisdom teeth and broken down teeth requiring surgical removal. This can be performed in a relaxed setting with the assistance of oral sedation or relative analgesia (Nitrous Oxide - Laughing Gas) for your comfort.

For more advanced cases, Intravenous (IV) sedation or General Anaesthetic (GA) removal can also be scheduled. Please contact your dentist for more information on these treatment options.

*Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
